Most people think of polar bears as ferocious beasts, ready to attack at the slightest provocation and to be avoided at all costs. While it is wise to be cautious, documented wild polar bear attacks on humans are actually very rare. Even more astonishing are the recorded incidences of wild polar bears playing with husky sled dogs. In this amazing video, a chained husky and an adult male polar bear engage in a prolonged bout of play! Check out YouTube for other videos of polar bears and dogs at play -- you won't believe the amount of trust these animals share, and the sheer delight they seem to enjoy together! I am sure there is a lesson to be learned here, if only we would be open to learning it.
