Let's take a break from Trumpish behavior today, shall we? Instead I would like to offer heartfelt congratulations to 13-year-old Alysa Liu, the youngest U.S. Figure Skating champion in history! You can watch her stunning performance on the YouTube video shown below:
Liu's beautiful routine really impressed the judges, and her two triple axels were a feat that no American woman had ever accomplished before. At her young age, Liu is not old enough to qualify for senior international events until 2022, but this will give her plenty of time to mature and improve in time for the Olympics in Beijing that year. Alysa Liu, you are someone in whom all Americans can take pride!
