We have remodeled several kitchens over the years, and each time we have stayed with a neutral color palette for all of the main features, always keeping potential resale value in mind. One of these days, however, my husband will retire and we will finally settle down in one location for good. When that day comes, I intend to stop worrying about resale value and make remodeling choices based upon my personal preferences. One of those preferences is color -- lots and lots of color! At the top of my list would be the Vetrazzo Millefiori recycled glass countertop for my kitchen. I love the kaleidoscope of color created by the glass pieces recycled from a stained glass manufacturer! In addition to being eco-friendly, this product is also one of the most durable countertop materials. Just take a look at these fun kitchens featuring Millefiori:
I am really looking forward to the day when I can bring more color into my home, starting with this countertop!
Love these! Found you on Pinterest and now I have a name for what I want. My husband JUST retired after a 32 year career in the Navy. We are HOME now for atleast the next 20 years and I'm about to renovate to reflect ME for the first time in 15 years. Looking at your blog I bet we'd be friends.
ReplyDeleteI love this! Also have big love for color. But my home is open concept and I have quite a few countertop apiances so I want something similarly colorful but less busy, more white speckles so the color is more sparse. And I would totally go for some with black speckles if I could find it. If you know of one please link me bc I keep searching but haven't found a product to pine for (and save for!)
