I have been finding a lot of beautiful salad/dessert plates lately. Since I rarely buy entire sets of dishes any more, I tend to look for these plates to add interest to plainer dinnerware when I set a table. As soon as I saw the surprisingly inexpensive Farm Animals Ceramic Dessert Plates ($25 for a set of four) from Birch Lane, I just had to order them. We live on a small acreage in the country, so the handsome farm animals seemed appropriate. The white and black color scheme complements just about any look, which means that these dishes should get quite a bit of use on my dining room table!
