I have never done a friends' weekend getaway, but I really would like to one of these days. As the weather warms up I thought it would be fun to put together a wardrobe for just such a weekend, perhaps to a coastal location like Charlotte or Savannah, since most of my friends and relatives live close to the east coast and these two towns are a good halfway point for almost everyone. I picked the color coral because Living Coral is the Pantone 2019 Color of the Year, and because it is a hue that flatters most complexions (at least according to advice I was told decades ago that turquoise and coral are universally flattering colors). I included neutrals in cream and shades of tan, added a couple of pieces of jewelry featuring sea turtles in honor of the coastal location, and came up with a collection that is casual, comfortable, and fun, which is just the type of clothing and apparel that I love!

We are having a rather chilly Easter weekend, but I think the next warm and sunny weekend would be perfect for a fun road trip with friends! Since I am unable to post any tablescapes these days due to the chaotic state of our water-damaged kitchen, I will leave my usual Easter tablescape post ending here instead:
