Weekend Wardrobe: Cozy Communing With Nature Five-Day Getaway Wardrobe

This week's wardrobe is planned for another road trip, this time to a cozy location for leaf peeping and communing with nature. Instead of the usual weekend jaunt, I decided to think longer-term so settled on a five-day getaway.  Since no plane flights are involved, more apparel can be stowed in the car, which means more outerwear and shoe options can be included!  I selected almost all of the items from the Coldwater Creek catalog, and I am obsessed with their color palette choices in navy and copper at the moment.  While navy is not usually a color to which I am drawn, when paired with copper (a shade of orange) the complementary hues enhance each other well.

The leaves have only just started turning color here in Georgia, much later than usual.  The weather, while cooler, is still prone to turn warm and humid, and we have not yet had temperatures anywhere near freezing (although that will change tonight).  The clothing items chosen for this weekend getaway are warm but not overly so, and the coat and boots are water resistant in case the weather turns wet.  I am imagining a getaway that features a lot of time outdoors, but not in a strenuous way, and plenty of opportunities to curl up in front of a warm fire or in a comfy reading nook, enjoying a window view of the great outdoors without exposure to the elements.  This trip will definitely be a time for comfort and indulgence rather than adventure and challenging physical activity!
