This week is
National Fall Foliage Week, created by
The Yankee Chef Jim Bailey as a way to get families outside to enjoy nature together. Even though it is a little too early in my area for peak foliage, our weather finally feels like it is cooling down, the days are definitely shorter, and football season is in full swing, so I know autumn has really arrived. A few leaves are just starting to turn colors, and I look forward to the full display in a few weeks. Meanwhile, here are some images to help everyone get in the mood:

My favorite season is gorgeous all across this great nation of ours. I'm sure that no matter where you live you can find beautiful autumn displays of fall color, so when peak leaf season occurs in your area be sure to get out and enjoy it. Happy leaf peeping, everyone!
Thank you for this post. The more families enjoy the outdoors during this week, the better my friend.(Love your blog btw)
