Embroidery detail from the Signals fringed jacket. |
I decided to put together a fashion style board based upon some recent paisley clothing and accessory finds for today's post. This outfit would be great for a day trip to the city, and is dressy enough for less casual events. Although some of the accessories are a bit pricey, I did try to keep the basics inexpensive as well as comfortable. Since February's birthstone is the amethyst and the flower for the month is the violet, I thought that purple as an accent color was quite appropriate!
Purple Murano Glass Necklace from Uno Alla Volta; Fashionelle Light Compression Knee Highs in Purple Paisley from FootSmart; Alessandra's Paisley Suede Cut-Out Tote of Florence from Uno Alla Volta; Women's Relaxed Supima V-Neck Long Sleeve T-Shirt in Black from Land's End; Classic Fit Pull-On Runway Pants from Travelsmith; Bass Women's Casell Penny Loafers in Black from Amazon; Embroidered Jacket with Fringe from Signals. |
By keeping the basic outfit uniformly black, colorful paisley accents add interest without being overwhelming (if it seems like a little bit too much of one color, the black shirt could be replaced with a white one). I had to add the purple paisley socks because socks are one of my favorite ways to add color, even if I am the only one who notices!
